Nice to see some engagement from an MP; perhaps a bit shell-shocked from the response he's got from people.
While there are doubtless some "pro-commentators", it would be sad if he didn't realise how much his scare-mongering colleagues are detested by ordinary people.
I do love this "Most people think", "Surely no-one will object" tack he seems to take.
Those are what Wikipedia describes as Weasel Words.
If he's so keen on what "most people" think, would he like to support a referendum on capital punishment? Maybe start with "Capital Punishment for Paedos..." as he seems so keen to invoke them as a bogeyman.
No, of course he wouldn't. It's wrong. Like most of this knee-jerk legislation he supports.
